“It’s like living on the edge of life,”
something you can’t really understand unless you’ve been through it.
When she found out she had cancer, it hit her hard. Her doctor said she had to choose between her life and her breast, and that was really hard for her to take in.
“In 2022, my life changed forever. My doctor told me upfront to choose between my life and my breast. I became livid and frustrated. I cried helplessly. It’s a journey no one can prepare you for. It’s a sad but painful reality for cancer patients.”

At first, she thought the lump she found in her breast might not be too serious. Then, she received the devastating news: it was cancer, and it turned her whole world upside down. She endured a series of grueling treatments, including chemotherapy, surgery to remove the affected breast, and radiotherapy.
“Breast Cancer for an expectant mother, is many things, but nothing funny. Many times, I cried in broken thoughts, I lived through depression, disbelief and accusations. I was new on this path and had no experiences but had to rely on stuffs I read on the internet and the information from friends.”
Now, she’s been told there might be a problem with her lung, and she needs to undergo series of tests and treatment.
“During my recent visit to the doctor, I was asked to undergo a CT scan to assess the progress of the treatment. The results of the CT scan revealed something concerning on the right side of my lung. There after I’ve been recommended to undergo another series of tests, and treatment which I can’t afford”

According to a letter cited by tellvibes.ng, it is indicated that the required amount for the test is N6,378,360. This sum originates from the National Hospital, Abuja, and is endorsed by her consultant.
Elizabeth really needs help to pay for a PET scan and treatment right away. She’s asking for financial support because she can’t do it on her own. She’s facing a really tough situation, but she’s not giving up. Her story shows how hard it can be for people dealing with cancer, especially when money is tight.
